As much as we love carpet here at CAP Carpet and flooring, it's not suitable for every room in your home.  No other flooring compares in matching the durability, value and timeless look of ceramic tile.  While still being beautiful, ceramic, porcelain and natural stone tiles are deceptively tough.  They are scratch resistant, temperature tolerant and stain resistant.  Of course, there are still better tiles to use in specific places.  A marble floor is elegant and beautiful, but it may not be the best choice for a busy foyer because it tends to be softer and more scratch prone than other tile options. Natural slate makes a warm and cozy fireplace surround, but the required sealing and maintenance makes it a little less practical of a choice for your new walk-in master shower.
